Not only that, the information that you are giving us for the claim should be genuine and verifiable. This measure is not just for our protection, but also for yours.
3. The information given to us in support of the best price claim should be current. If the information is old or unverifiable, we cannot honor the price match claim. Also, the item our competitor is selling should also be in stock for us to give refunds.
4. When we compute for the best price deal, we also take into consideration the shipping and handling fees that our competitors charge for that item. Sales tax is also a figure that we add to the equation. For example, if we sold you a pearl necklace for $300 and you found the exact pearl necklace while browsing through the catalog of our competitors at a price of $250 (including all the fees and taxes applicable), the refund you will be entitled to is $50 plus $5 (which is the 10% match-up).
5. The 90-day grace period will be strictly observed. Moreover, you can only make one price match for every item purchased from our store within the given 90-day period.
6. We will not consider price matches based on our competitors’ prices using discount coupons, sales and other promotions. Neither will we honor price match claims by our competitors who are going out of business or who are doing closing sales or liquidation sales to get rid of their stock.
7. Price match claims will be evaluated and processed within seven to 10 business days. Your due refund will arrive promptly after this time.
8. We at Cathaygems reserve the right to refuse price match claims that do not conform to the above-mentioned policies, or for items that are not in stock with our competitors.
