Making Coin pearl necklaces

The coin pearl necklace is the hottest trend in the pearl world today. It is simple, stylish and very elegant. Another advantage of coin pearl jewelry is that it is very versatile. You can wear it for any occasion. When making this coin pearl necklace, you only need three coin pearls. These coin pearls are available in various colors.

When making this three pearl necklace you can use already made chain with an attached clasp or you can use a simple chain and put on a clasp of your own. Then you will need a piece of metal wire with a smaller gauge or you can use a head pin. You will also need some jewelry making tools like chain nose pliers, round nose pliers and wire cutters.

We require small chain portions for making this necklace. For that, you can cut open the clasps and remove the small portion. Otherwise you need to take the small portion of chain separately. Now slide one coin pearl onto the headpin. Using round nose pliers make the loop on the headpin. Do not close it completely. Take that small portion and make two parts of approximately three links. Take one part of that link, slide it into the headpin loop, and close the loop.

Now take the metal wire thats around 4 inches long and slide one coin pearl onto the middle of the wire. Make one loop above the pearl and slide the last link of chain attached to the coin pearl. Using the flat-nosed pliers wrap the metal wire around the base of loop twice cut off the extra wire using the wire cutters.

Now you have piece of metal wire remaining above the second coin pearl. Bend that metal wire and make a loop above the pearl. Slide the remaining piece of chain onto the loop and close the loop by making two or three turns on the base of the loop. Just like this, attach the chain to one loop of the pearl.

Now take the chain necklace and find out its middle linker. In this middle ring of chain, insert the wire of last coin pearl. Now close the loop making two or three turns at the base of loop. That’s it! Your stylish coin pearl necklace is ready. For Coin pearls and clasps, click here.
