Unusual pearl earrings means, making pearl earrings with loose pearls which are not usually used for making pearl earrings. Pearl earrings are often made with round pearls or rice pearls. Here are some earrings patterns to make coin pearl, keshi pearl or cross pearl earrings.
All these pearl types mentioned above has some defining shape, only keshi pearls does not have any specific shape. You can beautifully incorporate this shape in your earrings to make charming earrings.
For making coin pearl earrings, you will require two coin pearls, headpin, crimp bead or crystal beads and ear hook. Take one headpin slide on crimp bead or crystal bead followed by coin pearl. Now using round nosed pliers make loop just above the pearl but do not close it completely. Now insert an ear hoop into the loop and now close the loop. Your coin pearl earrings are ready.
Just like coin pearls, you can easily make keshi pearl earrings. For making these earrings, you will require some keshi pearl, some thin headpins, metal chain and ear hooks. First just like we did for coin pearl make small charms using headpins. Keep each keshi pearl separate. Now take metal chain of same size for both earrings. Now on first loop of the chain insert the loop of keshi pearl on headpin and close the loop. Attach these keshi pearls at regular intervals.
If you like, you can attach one or even two pearls on each loop of metal chain. Slightly open the last loop of the metal chain and slide the ear hook. After that, close the loop. Your keshi pearl earrings are ready. Keshi peals has brilliant luster and they are very beautiful. These keshi pearls are not so expensive because of their irregular shape.
