Right-angled Pearl Earrings

Wearing earrings with unusual and unique shapes is not only a fashion today but, the young girls crave and demand highly for such earrings.
Let us see how we can make these earrings at home. We are going to make right angle shaped earrings. Take a wire and bend one of its ends to make a small loop of about 3 ½” or 10cm pieces of wire. Now bend both the wires in a shape that will form a right angle approximately of about 1 ½” or 3.5cm in length from the top of the loop. This will be your first right angle.
Then make the second right angle that should be at a distance of about 3/8th” or 1cm approximately from the first right angle. Hammer the bottom section that has now finally received a square shape. This will flatten the wire and also help it in hardening it. While hammering, care should be taken that you do not hammer the sides passing the 1/2” or 3mm from the corners. This will distort the overall shape of the right angle.
You can make your own spacers by wrapping a twisted wire around the 20 gauge wire scrap for making the coil. Slide off the coil from the core of the wire and then cut it in four sections measuring up to ¼” or 6mm in length. Now you can string a 2.5mm bead, a coil bead of about 6, 3 or 8mm, and a 2.5mm bead on both the wires. The beads should be slide at the flattened corners. Bend the end of the wire at a right angle so as to fit it accurately in the small loop made in the beginning. Then trim it and hammer the right angles as explained above. Smoothen the cut ends by using a metal file or a emery board. Finish both the earrings in the end so that they match one another and appear the same or look alike. Use gemstones, pearls, crystal or silver beads, clay and glass to embellish them.
