add-a-pearl necklaceThe tradition of presenting a young girl or infant with an add-a-pearl necklace has been around for many years. The concept was to assemble a lovely pearl necklace over a period of many years. The original necklace starts with one freshwater pearl, then you or members of your family can gift you another pearl for any occasion later on to making each occasion or event in your life memorable.

We have had quite a lot of customers buy add-a-pearl necklaces for their children.

At CathayGems, we use only the finest quality pearls; they are 7-7.5mm AAA quality round pearls and without any visible surface flaws. For your add-a-pearl need, you can order loose pearls from us subsequently.

These pearls not only have very high luster and sparkle but also have very round shape, which are available in undrilled, half drilled for people who put on their rings, earrings or pendants.

add-a-pearl necklaceIf you need to add a lot of pearls onto the necklace and are looking for pearls at more affordable price, then we also have strands of pearls available. They are high quality pearls except for the shape which is not as round as the above mentioned individual round pearls. So the overall shape will be not as elegant as the above well selected individual pearls but price is good. Our price for a 7-8mm AAA- round pearl strand is $89.99, but there are approximately 53 pearls on each strand at about 15”-15.5″ long.

Shop early for the best selection!
